Summer Concert & Auction - Thursday July 18, 2024
This year we will be at The Well at Cherry Farm, 2990 Colby Road in Winchester for our Summer Concert & Auction. We are once again using the HandBid app to bid this year. We are able to keep providing programming to adults with disabilities, no matter what their financial situation, because of our fundraisers, grants and donations. Our program has always operated on the premise that a person's financial status should not dictate his or her ability to participate in STRIDE. Over 60% of our participants rely on some form of financial assistance to attend our activities. Even for those who can afford the activity cost, costs like staffing, transportation, and other overhead costs are not passed on to the participants. If the bowling alley charges us $5 to bowl, then that's what we charge the participants. The program covers the other costs.
To help offset these costs, we write grants, hold fundraisers, and count on donations to ensure these amazing men & women have a program they truly deserve. Your donations help us make independent living & participants dreams a reality!
Why do we fundraise?
Good Giving Challenge
We participate in the Good Giving Challenge which is an online fundraiser that takes place in late November and early December. Our 2023 campaign was very successful thanks to so many kind donors!
